Spooky season kicks it off
Rocky Horror Picture Show (Friday, October 30) turns the theatre inside out for one unforgettable night. Brad, Janet, and Dr. Frank-N-Furter pull the whole room into a midnight of garters, and gleefully bad decisions. Every ticket comes with a prop bag, so you are ready to play along from the very first cue. This one is for grown-up night owls: expect mature themes and plenty of audience participation. There is a costume contest, so bring your best Magenta and Brads and try to win! Nooutside props are allowed.
The very next night, Hocus Pocus (Saturday, October 31) lights up the Halloween night for the whole family. Winifred, Sarah, and Mary cackle, conjure, and comb Salem for one more scheme. Round up the coven, wear the costume, and make Halloween a night at The Grand right after free Downtown Macon trick or treating. We will also have photo opps with Sanderson look alikes, so this is a special opportunity for your little one to get in some holiday magic.
Holiday cheer, extra syrup
Elf (Friday, December 18) brings the season’s biggest little helper to the big screen. Buddy the Elf spreads cheer, stacks syrup on spaghetti, and reminds us all that Christmas is best when you sing it loud and proud. It is the feel-good, deck-the-halls kind of night the whole family will love. Our own Fairytales and Friends will have an elf and Santa on site for special family pics, and we will be collecting Angel tree items to donate to those in need.
A Valentine’s double feature
Two films, one lovestruck day. On Saturday, February 14, The Grand serves up a Princess double feature on Valentine’s Day with something for every kind of sweetheart or group of pals.
The Princess and the Frog takes love for a leap down on the bayou and emphasizes believing in your dreams. Tiana dreams, dares, and dances her way from beignets to a hard-won happily ever after.
