Storytellers Macon: Live at The Grand Opera House
Sept. 26: Macon Magic
Your friends and neighbors speak their truth. For the past five years, Storytellers Macon has been asking people around Middle Georgia to tell their stories. The ritual has grown from front porches and bonfire tales to monthly open events at Grant’s Lounge, Amerson River Park, and now stART Up Studios. This limited series will bring the best stories back for a heightened presentation at The Grand, which will be recorded live for a new podcast series about the real-life souls in the city where soul lives.
Featured Storytellers for the evening are:
Artist/activist and radio host Tiara Ponce
Macon-Bibb County Commissioner Rabbi Larry Schlesinger
Southern culture writer and influencer Molly Wilkins
Owner of the best front porch in Macon and educator Mariana Furlin
Knight Foundation Emerging City Champion Weston Stroud
Urban planning and economic development expert Alex Morrison
Iconic downtown business owner Ed Grant
Legendary voice of Macon music Newton Collier
