Mercer University Wind Ensemble: Fanfare and Symphonies

The Brass Band and Wind Ensemble will take the stage at the beautiful Grand Opera House in Downtown Macon to perform major works in the repertoire. The Brass Band is the newest ensemble in the band area and will open the evening. The Wind Ensemble will perform James Barnes’ Third Symphony. Nicknamed “The Tragic,” this symphony explores the depths of despair and explodes with optimism and joy.
