Grammy Award nominee John Berry returns with his nationally touring Christmas concert to the Grand Opera House for this annual holiday favorite event on December 20, 2013 at 7:30 p.m. Berry’s 1995 album O Holy Night launched his annual Christmas concert tour, which is now in its 16th year.
Berry has had a string of hits, including Your Love Amazes Me, Standing on the Edge of Goodbye, I Think About It All The Time, Change My Mind, If I Had Any Pride Left At All, Kiss Me In The Car, What’s In It For Me and You and Only You. But it was his stunning performance of the title track of the O Holy Night album that led to his most enduring legacy, his annual Christmas concert.
In 1995, Berry’s single Your Love Amazes Me earned him a Grammy nomination, joining the 18 other hit songs of his that made it to the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts. In fact, many of Berry’s albums have gone gold and platinum, earning awards from the Country Music Association and the Academy of Country Music. Still, for Berry, the Christmas concert is special, as it provides him with a chance to share his faith and, according to his website, he views his performances as part of “his walk with Christ, (where) his calling has been to share God’s love with his audience. Audiences nationwide agree, selling out each stop on a regular basis, and joining together to celebrate with song and good company what the season means to them — family, friends and faith.
On a Saturday night in 1973, The Allman Brothers Band performed their legendary last show at the Grand Opera House in their hometown of Macon, Georgia. On December 27, 2013, Gregg Allman will be returning once again to where it all began for one unforgettable performance that you don’t want to miss. As a founding member of the one and only
Allman Brothers Band and in his own storied
solo career, Allman has long been a gifted natural

THIS CONCERT IS SOLD OUT.
The legendary Rock & Roll Hall of Famer has long been putting his own stamp on songs by some
of the blues giants whose work has long
informed his own, from Muddy Waters and BB
King to Buddy Guy and Magic Sam. Allmans solo career is a heart felt reflection of a remarkable body of work, rich with passion, verve, and the unerring confidence of a true survivor.
Like any genuine bluesman, Allman’s own life has been colored by myriad triumphs and too many tragedies. Gregg, who had long battled chronic Hepatitis C, was notified that he was a candidate for a liver transplant. In June 2010, he entered the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida where he successfully underwent the difficult surgery. An inveterate road warrior, Allman was understandably itching to return to the endless highway. He spent the months following the surgery hitting both the gym and the rehearsal studio, working hard to restore his vitality to its requisite level.
This fall, Allman returns to that endless highway on a solo tour that is guaranteed to be remembered for years to come, just as his music and his words will always be.
