Current Season

2010-2011 Intensive Program for Grades Four and Five include the following
three performances:

Lesson/Visit 1: Mad Science: CSI
Lesson/Visit 2: Charlotte’s Web
Lesson/Visit 3: Mercer University’s Townsend School of Music’s THUMP!

Schools enrolled in the Intensive Program receive:

• Lesson Plans tailored to Grade 4 or 5 that meet Georgia Performance Standards
• DVD Video Lesson introducing the performance and educational topic
• GrandKids Gazette worksheet that reinforces video lesson with vocabulary, review questions, and activities
• Online Educational Resources, including answer keys and links to related websites
• Invitation to participate in annual writing and artwork contest.

Cost is $15 per student to participate in the full program, a discount from single-ticket prices. All performances take place at The Grand Opera House, 651 Mulberry Street, Downtown Macon.

The following additional performances may be appropriate for other grade levels beyond Grades 4 and 5 and are not part of the Intensive Program.
