World-renowned violinist and Grammy-nominated artist, Robert McDuffie, will perform with the Macon Symphony Orchestra in a rare hometown concert honoring the founders of NewTown Macon, a non-profit organization that is reviving downtown Macon. Howard Hsu, Music Director of the Valdosta Symphony Orchestra, will conduct the Macon Symphony Orchestra in Capriccio Espagnol by Rimsky-Korsakov. The program will also feature McDuffie in Mendelssohn’s Violin Concerto in E Minor.

The Laser Spectacular “The Spirit of Michael” is an amazing multimedia experience that pays tribute to the King of Pop. Spanning his 40-year career, the show takes the audience on a visual journey beginning with Michael’s most recent achievements, and then travels backwards to his early years as a child prodigy.

The show features: 
A Live performance – An M.J. ‘tribute artist’ is a part of this production. This performer will be featured in a ghost-like atmosphere through the use of theatrical scrims and shadow screens. On several songs, the show and the performance are staged just as though it were a live Michael Jackson concert setting. The tribute artists who travel with this show have all been acknowledged as the best-of-the-best top performers by Michael Jackson himself. One in particular was named by Michael to be his ‘official understudy’ after he personally viewed 116 performers.

Lasers & special effect lighting – Many of Michael Jackson’s hits lend themselves to an artistic laser and light performance, much in the style of the Pink Floyd Laser Spectacular. Through the use of animated laser graphics, laser beams and aerials, the lights and lasers re-create images of Michael with 3-D holographic effects. The lighting show is a concert-style configuration. Along with the laser beams and graphics, it’s certain to wow the audience with the same power and excitement of a live concert.

Multi-Media – Michael Jackson was the undisputed King of Pop. As applied in numerous works in video, film, and live appearances, his unique and varied creations did much to expand the boundaries of the visual arts, thereby making Michael not only the King of Pop, but the King of Multi-Media as well. His best works include some of the most memorable video moments in entertainment, including his 1995 MTV Music Awards performance. In the course of the show, these special moments are coupled with some of his famous short films such as “Thriller” and “Black or White”, and other big hit memories from MTV. Special interview segments feature people from all walks of life remembering Michael, and so honoring him as one of the most outstanding performers of our time.

Concert Sound – 50,000 watts of pure rockin’ concert sound is sure to put the audience ‘inside’ the music… the show offers an opportunity to hear Michael Jackson’s hits like they’ve never been heard before!

Mad Science presents CSI: LIVE!, an exciting, interactive journey through the fascinating world of crime scene investigations. When a crime is committed at the premiere of a Las Vegas Magic Show, Sydney Mathis and David Hart play the roles of CSI investigators and spring into action. With the help of supervisor Gil Grissom and a room full of audience recruits, they will use their superior logic and forensic know-how to investigate the evidence and test their theories. Whether it’s analyzing mysterious gasses, launching experimental projectiles or firing lasers across the scene of the crime, the CSI team will work together to solve the crime.

Broadway and Beyond starring Rob Evan

Legacy 38, Inc. is proud to present the musical concert, “BROADWAY & BEYOND”, starring five-time Broadway star, Platinum-selling recording artist with the Trans-Siberian Orchestra and Monticello, GA native, ROB EVAN, for one night only, Thursday, October 14, at 8 p.m. The evening will feature live music from the contemporary hits of Broadway including Phantom of the Opera, Les Miserables, Wicked, Sweeny Todd, Rock of Ages and Jekyll & Hyde, as well as a fusion of classical, pop and rock with songs by The Beatles, Andrea Bocelli, Heart, Queen, Journey, Rascal Flatts, Puccini, Ray Charles and others. Mr. Evan will share the Grand Opera stage with special musical guests including the vocals of soprano Morgan James (Broadway’s The Addams Family, The Rock Tenor, Hair), Philadelphia based guitarist JD Valenteen (Menrva Realm, The Rock Tenor) and local Theater Macon baritone, Brian Barnett. The Broadway & Beyond band/orchestra will be comprised of Georgia based musicians under the musical direction of Nashville’s Galen Butler (The Gatlin Brothers, Pam Tillis, The Rock Tenor).
